Lucid Hope Scholarships for Bangladesh was founded in 2020 by Alpona Khan and Rasel Zaman, a couple who were born in Bangladesh and left the country at an early age. They currently live in southeast Michigan, USA, with their young son.

While raising their son, Alpona and Rasel came to understand the importance of strong family and community support in helping individuals reach their full potential. They also had a vision of giving back to help those who are less fortunate.

Among the many issues facing Bangladesh, the lack of funding for college students’ education stood out to Alpona and Rasel the most. They chose to help students in Bangladesh who have the potential for a bright future but are financially unfortunate. They believe that having a good education is very important and can shape an individual’s future.

Lucid Hope Scholarships for Bangladesh provides financial assistance to undergraduate students in Bangladesh who demonstrate academic achievement, leadership traits, and the desire to give back to their communities. The foundation views hands-on education as a change agent for individuals, families, communities, and the nation.
