Celebrating Our Scholars & Looking Ahead to Our Next Chapter
Since 2020, the Lucid Hope Scholarship for Bangladesh has had the distinct privilege of supporting exceptional students through full scholarships and dedicated mentorship. We are immensely proud of the bright, dedicated young leaders who have graced our program and enriched our journey.
Today, we are thrilled to celebrate a wonderful milestone: 60% of our scholars have already graduated and are actively shaping their communities, while our remaining scholars are well on track to graduate within the next 24 months.
As we champion our current scholars through to their graduation day, we are sharing an important update regarding our future. Due to various factors, the Lucid Hope Scholarship will not be selecting new recipients for 2026, as we are taking a deliberate pause to reflect on our journey and explore new, innovative ways to create meaningful, lasting impact in Bangladesh.
While this marks the conclusion of our current scholarship model, we strongly believe the next chapter holds exciting possibilities. We look forward to sharing our vision for a new initiative dedicated to helping communities thrive in the near future.
To every student, mentor, partner, and well-wisher who has walked alongside us – thank you. Your trust, dedication, and heart have made this program profoundly special.”

Who We Are
Lucid Hope Scholarships for Bangladesh was established by Alpona Khan and Rasel Zaman, a dedicated couple with deep roots in Bangladesh. Born and raised in the country, they emigrated to the United States at a young age, where they now reside in southeast Michigan. As parents to a young son, Alpona and Rasel understand the profound importance of family and community support in fostering personal growth and success.
Driven by a desire to make a positive impact, Alpona and Rasel founded Lucid Hope Scholarships. Their mission is to provide financial assistance to promising Bangladeshi students who face economic challenges. Recognizing the transformative power of education, they believe that investing in these students’ futures will enable them to overcome adversity and achieve their full potential.
Through their generous support, Lucid Hope Scholarships aims to empower the next generation of Bangladeshi leaders and contribute to the country’s overall progress.
Lucid Hope Scholarships for Bangledesh is a 501 (c) (3) non profit organization.
